Being a wife and a mom juggling between different tasks at home and other activities outside can be physically and emotionally exhausting, most especially if you don't have a housemaid.
When I became a Mom, I rarely had a "Me Time" and sometimes it can't be considered a "Me Time" because I'm still with my daughter whenever I go out. Having a good massage is what every mother would want to have after all the tedious tasks we've been doing at home or at work. My most favorite "Me Time" is having a massage at my favorite spa, which is just block away from where we live before in Obrero. I always avail their "Pinoy Hilot" at Elysia Wellness Spa. ;)
I was delighted when I learned that Sun Life Philippines will be having a Mom's Day Out event. I got excited because who doesn't want to have a Mom Day's Out? ;) It turned out to be a fun day for us Moms because we get to have a relaxing massage courtesy of Elysia Wellness Spa and most importantly, we get to learn more about parenting and balanced motherhood from Michele Alignay, a Family Life Specialist, Registered Psychologist and Registered Guidance Counselor.
Finding balance in raising our kids while keeping your sanity and keeping your cool is quite difficult and challenging. "A well-balanced mom has more to give her family", I totally agree with this... But it is easier said than done. So, we have to work on our "wants", "should" and "capacities", instead of having a rule that covers all situations all the time, choose to pick within the situation and you'll never be out of balance.
Thanks to our speaker, Ms. Michele Alignay for sharing her tips and experiences that taught us how and why we need to balance, re-balance and recharge our life.
Sun Life Mindanao Cluster Head Mylene Almonte, talks about planning for our children's education for their brighter future through "MyFuture Fund". Everyone of us were surprised to see how much the tuition fee will cost by the time our children would enter college and we're talking about millions here. Wow... My daughter is still in kindergarten now and I can't imagine if our savings and earnings will be enough when that time comes. This is where MyFuture Fund can help us, it would be a great tool in helping us achieve our goal in preparing a college fund for our children.

Here's an inspiring short video by Sun Life Philippines for all the moms out there who are wondering if they're doing the right thing for their kids...
Thank you, Sun Life Philippines for letting us have a stress-free day with other Moms. I enjoyed and learn a lot on motherhood, parenting, self-care and money management... :)
