Xiaomi and MLBB Philippines Promote Healthy Gaming to PH Campuses through the Community Cup

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines and Xiaomi Philippines has formally launched the MLBB Community Cup, a campus tour that uses the well-known mobile game Mobile Legends Bang Bang to encourage students to play responsibly and form bonds with one another.

Interactive events like the MLBB Quiz Game and Pinoy Henyo, a well-liked word and mind game in the Philippines, along with a friendly MLBB tournament are planned for the MLBB Community Cup. The event will also feature a discussion on responsible gaming and job options in the gaming and e-sports industries concurrently.

"We recognize our shared responsibility in fostering a fun and healthy environment for our MLBB gamers. With the MLBB Community Cup, we hope our participants further develop their skills in teamwork, problem solving, and network building, among others," says Miah Kang, MOONTON Games PH Community Manager.

The MLBB Community Cup will commence at National University-Laguna on 1-2 February 2024, followed by the visit to Technological Institute of the Philippines-Quezon City from 5-6 February 2024.
Participating students will get a chance to take home limited-edition merchandise items such as hero cards featuring Yin, Fanny, and Martis.

Meanwhile, the winners of the friendly MLBB tournament will take the biggest share of the prize pool worth 50,000 in-game diamonds and a brand new Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The runner-ups will take home Xiaomi Smartband 8, a 10,000mAh powerbank, Buds4 Pro, and City Sling Bags.

ECHO Proud wins Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League Philippines Season 1

ECHO Proud wins the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League - Philippines (MDL-PH). Held fully online, the competition saw ECHO Proud dominating the best-of-five (Bo5) series against GameLab, taking home the most-coveted title and the lion's share of USD 20,000 or approximately PHP 1,080,000.

With a score of 3:1, ECHO Proud was hailed the very first champions of MDL Philippines. Meanwhile, ECHO's Jay Pee "Jaypee" Gonzalez has been declared as the Grand Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP). Blacklist Academy and BREN Euphoria settled for third and fourth finishes.

"Sobrang saya sa feeling namin. Gusto talaga namin makuha ang championship sa first season ng MDL Philippines kasi mahirap syang makalimutan. First MDL sa Pilipinas at kami ang nanalo," said Jaypee during the MDL Philippines grand finals press conference.

ECHO Proud is headed by its Coach Limuelle "eLLE" Galera. The team paraded strong esports athletes namely Johnville "Outplayed" Villar, Jankurt "KurtTzy" Seralvo, Jay Pee "Jaypee" Gonzalez, James "Jeymz" Gloria, and Amistoso "Seichu" Lope.

The inaugural season of MDL Philippines recorded a peak concurrent viewership of more than 32,000 views.

An MLBB-Themed Carnival Event is Happening this Weekend! Here's How to Join!

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines will mount its first MLBB-themed music carnival event to gather users around Metro Manila on April 22, 2023, in Market Market, Taguig. The event will be spearheaded by famous artists and MLBB creators ChooxTV, Jelai Andres, Buboy Villar, and a secret bida who have been part of the Be The Bida campaign that aims to encourage users to be their own superstar.

The one-day event will be packed with exciting activities designed to help participants unleash their talents and meet other MLBB users. The venue is also specially crafted to give them the chance to experience the virtual MLBB world in real life and how to be the main character in MLBB through challenges.

Those who wish to participate in the event can go to Market! Market! and enter the venue for FREE. Fans will see fun activations such as the Bida Wall that allows them to take photos in an ALLSTAR-themed photo booth. Fans will also go through the MLBB Minion Lane Maze up to the 360 rotating photo stage to take photos with Miya.

In-game turrets are also stationed to be destroyed by participants. Apart from the towers, a lucky wheel will give awesome prizes such as limited-edition merch items and ALLSTAR-themed rewards.

Meanwhile, the Main Stage will host exciting show matches and meet and greet with the invited MLBB personalities, including popular esports players from ECHO namely Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno and Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera.

Simultaneously, the in-game event ALLSTAR Last Encore runs until 30 April 2023 to give players high-value in-game rewards. To participate, log in to MLBB application, complete Wish Tasks to get Wish Skin Fragments during the event, and exchange them for any of the returning event-exclusive skins.

New-look Nexplay EVOS to duke it out with SEA Games reps Bren Esports in MPL PH Season 11 Week 2!

Week 1 saw ECHO making a statement win against M4 rival Blacklist International. The Orcas repeated their dominance over the agents with a 2-0 sweep. The team also secured a clean finish over the weekend and topped the leaderboard after beating contender BREN Esports. Meanwhile, Nexplay EVOS went off to a hot start dominating the TNC Pro team. The all-amateur team came in second at the end of the week.

Week 2 will be packed with action between Nexplay EVOS and SEA Games reps Bren Esports. Nexplay EVOS's amateur kings aim to show these pro teams that their humble accomplishments have weight in the big leagues. Will they be able to maintain their clean record?

On Saturday, fans will also see a gold lane matchup between Bennyqt and Nets. As one of the best gold laners in the world, Bennyqt is not a contender to mess with. Who will carry their team better and enter the clash with precision?

Lastly, a potential grudge match between Saxa and Kyle is bound to happen on Sunday. Saxa was formerly BREN with Kyle, but ultimately Kyle was the one chosen to be their final jungler. Kyle will be out to prove that BREN made the right call to keep him instead.

Solitaire - a Classic Game that Never Fades!

The pandemic has made almost everyone to be more active online. Some people who'd been staying at home for years or people who are quarantined get bored and stressed, so they rely on social media, binge-watching movies or TV series, and playing online games to calm their minds. I am one of them; doing these things keeps us entertained and diverts our minds from the current health crisis for a while.

So, aside from watching Korean and Chinese TV series, I also love to play online games during my free time. One of the games that I missed playing is the Solitaire game; I remember it was one of the first games I played when we had our first computer way back in the late '90s. This old-school card game is quite addictive because it's a challenging game, plus it helps improve my mental skills and calms my mind.

Among my favorites are Classic Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, and Pyramid Solitaire.

The goal of the Classic Solitare game is to stack the cards into sequences. These sequences are based on suits and rank. For example, the cards will be stacked K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and A with no mixed suits. Sounds easy, right?

The rules of Classic Solitaire are:

Cards are arranged from left to right, with the bottom-most card of each pile placed face-up.
Move cards from the Table to the Foundations, beginning with the Ace of each suit.
The draw pile is the source of new cards. Only one card at a time can be drawn.
Cards of a lower consecutive rank can be moved below a card of a higher rank, but only if the cards are of a different color.
The game is over when all cards are cleared or if there are no moves possible.

In Classic Solitaire, all four suits are used. In Spider Solitaire, the number of suits can vary depending on your level. One suit is beginner, two is intermediate and three or four is expert level.

In Spider Solitaire, cards must be of the same suit in order to place them in sequential order if you want to be able to move that run of cards. You can stack different suits, but then you won't be able to move them as a group.

In Classic Solitaire, the sequenced cards must be alternating red and black suits.

Cards from the Reserve. In Classic Solitaire, players deal with a single card from the pile. In Spider Solitaire, you deal a single card to each column in the Table or Tableau.

Spider Solitaire is arguably the most difficult of all Solitaire games. It has been estimated that the most expert players can only win around 50% of the time as many games are simply impossible to win.

Pyramid Solitaire differs from Classic Solitaire in that the cards are arranged in a pyramid layout. The object of the game is to remove pairs of cards that add up to a total of thirteen from a pyramid arrangement of twenty-eight cards.

The rules of Pyramid Solitaire are:

The game is played with one 52 card deck.
Deal cards to form a pyramid, starting with a row of one card, followed by a row of two cards, and so on, down to a final row of seven cards.
The pyramid will consist of twenty-eight cards in total shown face-up.
Pair cards to total thirteen. These pairs are moved from play.
Kings can be removed without pairing, as Kings are worth thirteen points.
Only open cards can be paired.
When you can't make another move, from the pyramid or from the draw and waste pile, and you have no more deals left, the game is lost.
The game is won when all cards are removed from the pyramid.

I really enjoyed playing Solitaire games, you might not have thought about it, but this game also teaches us about decision making which we can apply in our life. ;)

Aside from playing Solitaire, I also love playing other games such as the Hidden Object Games and Word Games.

Nostalgic Classic Games

For months, I have been busy creating content on my Blog, Instagram, and Facebook page. I haven't updated my YouTube Channel, and I missed doing Livestream already. It's been a while since the last time I've played online games. I used to play games, and do Livestream on my YouTube channel - Mama Miah, and had fun playing with my viewers in real-time.

I love playing games, especially strategy games like tower defense and puzzle games. Even if I'm already a Mom, I still play games, whether on PC or mobile. I play games to relax and have fun; it is one of the things I do on my "Me Time". ;)

So, today, I decided to play online games to reduce stress and have some fun for a while. I have found this online site plays.org that offers free games on their website. No need to download the games since it's web-based, you can play the games directly using your browser. There are numerous games to choose from but what I love the most are classic games like Pinball, Space Invaders, and Tank Wars. These classic games remind me of the games we used to play on our Family Computer, so nostalgic.

The Tank Wars is very similar to the classic game Battle City, where you have to shoot other tanks and defend your base.

I used to play these games with my siblings and cousins before. Games like this bring back a lot of childhood memories. I'm pretty sure the Batang 90's in you would agree with me.

I had fun playing these classic games, especially the Tank Wars; it keeps me entertained during these trying times. How about you, do you love to play games? What are your favorite games? As for me, I have lots of favorite games, the classic Mario Bros. is the first game I've played, and it became an instant favorite of mine. I also love Pokemon games, my brother and I enjoyed playing them on Gameboy before. It's one of our bonding times, playing together on different gaming consoles.

Anyways, I'm happy plays.org has many arcade games similar to what we used to play when we were young. I love that you can enjoy playing games on their website without irritating ads popping up, which are a common sight when you are playing free games. I am just glad I found this free site, I already bookmarked it so I can play the games that I love during my "Me Time". :)

Bubble Rescue Gameplay and Giveaway!

So, I just downloaded Bubble Rescue and played it. I decided to record my game but this one is sooo hard, well for me maybe... Lol. Yeah, I'm stuck at Level 2, maybe because I wasn't using that special bomb on the right side or I am just not good at this game. Lol.

Anyway, I hope you like and enjoy this gameplay which I unfortunately got lost at Level 2 for the 3rd time! Imagine, I am still on Level 2, what more on the higher levels. Hahaha... Good luck to me... 😂

I was a bit lost at first and I just gotta find my way through the game because there was no tutorial, it's easy for me to navigate the game since I've played bubble shooter or puzzle bubble games before. Well, it's still a great game though, the graphics are cute, and even the music too. Still, great job, DNP3 of GridGaming.io...
